Hello, I am a student switching from premed to predental and am looking for inspiring books about dentistry to facilitate my understanding and knowledge about the field. I am shadowing dentists and do recognize that the best way to learn is to shadow. But I also would like to learn through reading books as well.

Thank you. :luck:

The Excruciating History of Dentistry by James Wyndbrandt is an entertaining read.

Thanks! The title sounds entertaining enough already so I would definitely check it out. 🙂

However, I was wondering there are books written by dentists about how should they treat patients, how could they improve their dexterity, and etc?

In medicine, I realize that there are many books about their exp in med school, residency, and their interaction with patients and lessons earned and etc such as How doctors think, On Call, White Coat, and etc.

My gf just bought me this book as a gift yesterday.
