whats going on with the law regarding optometrists not being able to prescribe oral medication in ny? is anything being done on that? potential change anytime soon? are we even trying to change it?

I believe it's an ongoing political fight, though I doubt anything would happen in the regard until at least into 2012 (the state legislature for this period is done meeting).
