Hey guys, just wondering what the deal is with applications going in for the 2008 start date. I am applying for the 2 time, and hoping to get in next year. I sacrificed this year bc my mom was diagnosed w/ cancer and my aunt's cancer has spread drastically. SO anyone applying to SE schools have any luck last year they want to tell me about? Anyone else applying in the SE want to chat? Thanks,

I'm a second time applicant too! Almost made it into UF; I was so close it still hurts. 🙁 I pray that I make it in this time around. Made an appointment to see Dr. Thompson, but he's booked until almost the end of August! Hopefully I'm doing the right things to make my app better...

2nd round app here too... i'm convinced i was pretty close this year also, with MSU (details in the waitlist thread) Next year I'm in, I can almost taste it!!! Maybe I should get a new monkey avatar to boost my chances!? 😉

Philo, they took about half the list. Around 8 I think. The rest of us were slowly rejected. It was the most fustrating experience of my life! I didn't get my letter until two weeks after all the other people that I knew were on the wait list. I keep hoping that someone will back out unexpectedly and that I get called in.

I will be applying for my first time-i'm a non-trad (35 year old) with an art degree from 1995. its taken me about 4 years to take all my prereqs (i got off to a shaky start taking gen chem and physics after years of not taking classes) and am finally ready to apply. good luck to all!

Yep, Pigsfoot. I'm a 33-year-old with an English BA, who veered from the vet school path ~10 years ago, but am finally applying for the 1st time this year.
