Waitlist C/O 2029 Hopefuls!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
if/when schools pull students off the waitlist is it typically a quick turn around to give an answer?
yes - of the three schools I've been waitlisted at, one gives a 72 hour window after acceptance, another 48 hours, and the third didn't give a timeline but I expect it's around that range

Yes. If you don't get back to them in a timely fashion, they may also move past you on the list. So answer unfamiliar calls, check your voicemails, and check your emails and spam folders. The person contacting you should be giving you a deadline for your answer, and I can't imagine it would be any longer than 48-72 hours.

Anyone know how much the IS waitlist at Mizzou usually moves?

This may be a stupid question but; I know that waitlists don't tend to start moving until after the national decision date, but how long does it typically take schools to start pulling people off of waitlists? Will they start calling the next day or do some places wait until like a week after April 15? I'm just trying to plan out when I should start reaching out to clinics to ask if they're hiring VAs, because I don't think it'd be a good idea to wait until August if I don't hear anything sooner!

Usually April 16th there will be movement!

OOS waitlist at U of A! Hoping for some good news during these next few weeks. Good luck to everyone waitlisted!

Accepted to SGU on waitlist for LIU (bottom half) and UF (OOS). Will be paying my SGU deposit closer to April 15th deadline. Does anyone have any experience about when waitlist movement slows down. I want to know when I should realistically begin looking for and finalizing my housing situation for the fall

I am also on the LSU (OOS) and TAMU (IS) waitlists! Both unranked lists!
Also on the OOS waitlist for Mississippi but very low down lol. They were my last school to hear back from, so here’s to hoping I get pulled from TAMU or LSU!!

Waitlisted OOS ISU and LMU and IS mizzou accepted into SGU hoping for some news that I can stay in the states!
I’m also accepted at SGU (january) and waitlisted elsewhere Cornell (IS) Penn (OOS) and LIU (bottom half) hoping we both end up where we are supposed to be ❤️

Anyone have any tips to stop thinking about waitlists and stuff? Especially because we have over a month before we will hear anything
im driving myself bonkers but, i know this is cliche, try to focus on hobbies and other stuff! Find other things you love! Go to concerts! Teach yourself a new craft! Start a new book or movie or tv show series! Luckily we're in the homestretch and hopefully will all be getting some good news soon, only like 45 more days, we made it this far!

Waitlisted at Penn (OOS) - does anyone know if the waitlist mainly starts moving after the deposit date or if we'd hear back earlier?

The email said that it could move at anytime even before deposit day but I really wouldn’t expect much until after April 15th

Alternate at Michigan state, does anyone know how well it moves and if they make calls before the deadline? Or do they wait until after? Their email confused me on that part a bit

Placed on reserve list for Edinburgh. Anyone got any information About this?

I was waitlisted for my IS school, but I am #1 on the IS waitlist. It is a small class size school, so I'm not sure to anticipate movement or not and when. So incredibly nervous and have no idea how I'm going to make it to April 15 lol
congrats on #1!!!! ive got lots of hope for you!!

what are the odds of getting off the LSU oos waitlist 🙁 ive been rejected everywhere, besides SGU, and I would much prefer to stay in the states

LSU waitlist definitely moves, but really wish they would have given us at least quartile rankings. Truly no idea on the odds and I know the waitlist is longgg. I have heard back from everyone and am on three waitlists. Going crazy waiting on decision day lol

I really wish Illinois told us our positions on the waitlist for IS. I have no idea what to expect. No clue how I will make it to April 15 (and that’s my birthday lol)

Has anyone heard of any movement on the SDSU waitlist? We find out our new position after April 15th but was curious if it was moving at all before that

Officially one month out from decision day! Crossing my fingers for us all!!

Please keep us updated on if you get pulled off a waitlist or decline a seat somewhere!!
Cheering for everyone!!! I put it in individual threads too, but just so it’s collected here - I declined an OOS DVM waitlist spot at CSU, and OOS seats at the following schools: Cornell, VMCVM, WSU, Oregon State, Ohio State, Wisconsin, and UPenn.

Cornell I declined a while ago, CSU and VMCVM a few weeks ago (so these seats may already be allocated), but all other schools I declined within the last week and a half.

Good luck to all, excited to see where you all end up! ❤️

Congratulations on all your acceptances!! Where did you end up accepting a seat?

Waitlisted at Rowan, still waiting to hear from Dublin. Anyone have a crystal ball to predict how much Rowan's list will move? 😅
My *best* guess regarding Rowan will be that it’s likely to have decent movement for OOS, but that also depends on the accepted class itself, and it is a very small class so not sure how many were accepted in the first place. If they over-accepted by a decent sum (which I’d think they wouldn’t do TBH), then there may be less movement. Hopefully there’s good movement for everyone at Rowan, I know SDN is such a small group but it seems like they accepted so few people!
