Any HPSP 2012 Left?

Does anyone know if there are any Army HPSP scholarships left? I know people have already submitted their apps as they received a dec acceptance; however, I have NOT. And I really want to do this. Is there any hope for us who have post dec interviews for landing a HPSP spot? Do I have a chance w/ a 3.3 overall GPA 21DAT ?

The Army will begin giving out 4 yr HPSP scholarships in January. None have been awarded at this time. They will be given out incrementally from January through the time they run out (typically around April). The sooner your applications are in, the better the chance. There are approx 105 4 yr scholarships available.

my recruiter had pretty much told me that i was going to get the scholarship for this year. while i appreciate her level of confidence, is there a high correlation between applying early and getting the scholarship?

In years past there has been. However with each year the competitiveness and number of applicants increases which means competition increases. Also add the fact that the Army has done well in recruiting the last 6 years, so they are offering less scholarships and can afford to be more picky when choosing future dental officers.
