Whats funny is if I was going to start a "white" thread, I would get crap for it but any other race can start a "__________" thread....Just thought I'd ask since there are Vietnamese, Indian, and Nigerian threads, just trying to represent my peoples 🙂.

You should totally start a white thread Lol. Representation for the Caucasian persuasion! 🙂
OH I know huh? LOL I thought it was called the Asian Persuasion....You should totally start a white thread Lol. Representation for the Caucasian persuasion! 🙂
Jk
Anyway I would but I would get a bunch of KKK people posting, giving us white folks a bad name again. What about a black thread?
"Black Attack" or something? Or am I sounding like the white racist that people think we are?*
*I was not trying to offend, nor discriminate against anyone or any race or anyone of any kind....
I feel like I am going to get banned.....You should totally start a white thread Lol. Representation for the Caucasian persuasion! 🙂
I should have figured there were no other Mexicans on this site...they go to college to major in stuff like Chicano Studies...or they go to night school to take Spanish to get a Bbbbbbbbbb. LOL
I didn't major in Chicano Studies...
I do like beans though.

Who cares if there are ethnic specific threads? People naturally look for others with similar backgrounds to identify with. As long as one doesn't claim superiority based on that ethnicity why would it be a problem? Since white people are the majority they generally don't have to look far to find others with a similar cultural background. The only problem I see is that it has nothing to do with pharmacy school. Crap like this always ruffles peoples feathers.
I don't believe there should be threads for ONLY that race...isn't that being racist...in a way? I mean, ok so your relating to other people of the same race? HELLO we are all human no matter what we are, is it not good enough to relate to everyone whether or not they are white, black, blue or purple? So regular people are not good enough so they have to start their own "race/ethnics" thread to feel better? That's ridiculous and looks racist on their part...Who cares if there are ethnic specific threads? People naturally look for others with similar backgrounds to identify with. Anyway, honestly there are more asian people dominating this profession (and all of the other healthcare professions) then whites...which is NOT a bad thing, just a note...
I see your point. I just don't care about ice skating uphill. I take Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. If I start a thread asking if there are other Jiu Jitsu-ists would that be "hobbyist", and exclusive of other peoples hobbies? Would anyone care? I would probably just get flamed for a completely off subject thread. Why is skin color any different? As long as there is no superiority complex, I just don't care.
You care about it, and you make a good point. My point is I just don't give a damn what people do as long as they don't mess with me.

And Asians are not "dominating" this profession.
Racial and Ethnic Diversity
Annual surveys of schools and colleges of pharmacy to collect data on student enrollment and graduating pharmacists conducted by AACP provide a longitudinal database for the racial and ethnic diversity of graduating pharmacists.[60,61] The percentage of white graduates has decreased from 85.2% in 1985 to 59.8% in 2004, which is below the population value. The percentage of African-American graduates has increased from 4.3% in 1985 to 7.7% in 2004, still only about half of the population value. The percentage of Hispanic or Latino graduates has remained steady at about 3.7% and is significantly below the population value. The percentage of Asian, Native Hawaiian, or other Pacific Islander graduates was at 23.4% in 2004, which exceeds the population value by approximately fivefold. At 0.4% of graduates, American Indian or Alaskan Native graduates are somewhat under-represented. While the data for the overall practicing pharmacist population may vary somewhat, these longitudinal data give a good idea of the populations who have entered the profession over the past 20 years. Also, one must recognize that pharmacists of specific ethnic groups will be over- or under-represented in local areas, differently from the national figures.

Ah guys, I was just being facetious when I started the thread, I didn't mean for it to start some racial/ethnic debate. We are all one big pharmacy family, no matter if we are brown, white, yellow, gay, straight, etc. I am excited to finally be going to pharmacy school this year after all I have been through and can't wait to meet all of my fellow classmates 🙂
Si estoy aqui. No he encontrado otros por aca antes. Donde han estado? No me gustan a los que odian a otras por el color de su piel. Los racistas deben irse de aqui!...Really I just wanted to try to write in spanish again. It's been a while. But seriously, why don't just drop the race junk and focus on pharmacy. That is our similarity!
I am mexican and I am proud of it!
