As I am watching my bank account shrink, I am wondering if there's anything I could do to save money. I'm on my own for this process. Any money saving tips are appreciated!

money tips? yeah, get some! 😀

For interviews, learn how to find cheap plane tickets. Whenever you have the option of staying with someone at a school or staying in the dorm instead of getting a hotel, take it. Certain costs are unavoidable, though.

Outside of the fee waiver, you are hosed just like the rest of us. Interview wise, make sure you get a host to stay with. Apart from that, you could always work more.

Don't eat out. Don't drink beer. Watch the extra money pile up each week. You probably spend as much every week on these two luxuries as what one secondary costs.

And, if you haven't already, join the average American in carrying about $14k in credit card debt. Get your credit line increases NOW so you don't have to screw around with it when you're in the middle of booking last minute flights.

yay for flying free!!

😱

*runs away before everyone kills him*

if you go to priceline or expedia or a website like that u can usually get cheaper plane and hotel combos.....saves lots of $$

My goal is to spend ~$500 per interview requiring a plane flight.... 🙁

Why don't you just have your parents pay for it? :meanie:

write every one of these people explaining your situation and giving innuendos suggesting that you're related, but never flat-out say it. (i'm kidding)
