If my school doesn't help me, does anyone have any type of formal documentation of some kind (checklists etc.) for the core rotations that they can share so I can at least see for myself what is involved here, at least what is going on at other schools?

I think my school had objectives on a blackboard site but no one ever checked them. Honestly 50% of our grade was the shelf exam. So people would just do whatever they wanted on preceptor rotations, get a decent eval and then honor the rotation by studying for the shelf. It amazes me how many people just priortized studying for shelf exams as opposed to getting a good grasp on procedures during 3rd year, or learning how to do basic things. Big no no in my opinion. The shelf exam is a a crap shot, you can do well enough without studying in my opinion. you don't have to spend a month of non stop studying for an exam. It's so hilarious to think that the students would get weekends off and enjoy chill rotations.
