Of the following, which is not an intermolecular force that exist in molecules?
A) Covalent bonds
B) Van der Waals interactions
C) Hydrophobic interactions
D) Hydrogen Bonding
E) London Dispersion

The correct answer is A, but why not C?...Thanks for the help!
 
Covalent bonds are intramolecular, not intermolecular. Intramolecular describes the relationship between atoms in a molecule. Intermolecular describes the relationship between molecules (ie. the hydrogen bond between two water molecules)
Right?
