i'm asking this on behalf of a friend, but would any of you know of any spots (ANY!!!) that are still open after the scramble for starting in 2007? we've looked at the list of the programs that didn't fill during the match, but as far as the scramble goes, we're lost...

Do you mean 2006? The match for 2007 has yet to get started this year so technically, all of the programs/spots are open.

UTSW is closed for out of match spots in 2006. You can contact them for 2007 spots to try and get a leg up, but unless you are an outstanding candidate, they will probably ask you to apply in the spring.
