Haha! Yes, this thread has been hijacked multiple times. Oh well, I guess we should let it go now. Also, I think you'll be able to find some classmates of yours on Facebook. I can clearly see mine; they all look very nice! 😀

Yeah, you can only really get a gist of Urdu poetry if you read it in Urdu. These one's aren't even that funny, actually. My personal compilation is no where to be found at this time, sadly. I travel a lot when I'm back home, so I take down some of the most corniest verses I come across. The ones in Punjabi are the funniest.

Ever read the bumper stickers on those big colorful trucks? Them are the funniest. I would ask our driver to follow trucks just so I could read what's written on the back.

some more semantics: Pakistanis are NOT and should not refer to themselves as desis. Term 'desi' is more appropriate for the neighbors 🙂.

first of all; YOU may be brown but i'm light skinned.

secondly, you're taking your ignorance to another level here. the five provinces + northern areas of Pakistan are of separate ethnicity than our neighbors (except perhaps east punjab); thus, we SHOULD NOT be grouped in a same category as them. We have our own identity.

Allah ka bara shukar hai kay indeed i am handsome and i don't need some ditz telling me what i am or am not; i know exactly what i am and that is NOT a 'desi'.

I actually have two books that contain all sorts of verses from trucks and what not.😀 Yes, I take a lot of interest in strange things.😛
And a third one is on its way...this one's a personal compilation, though.
