Any reason to go on more interviews?

First let me say that I'm very thankful for the situation I find myself in. I am sitting on acceptances to ATSU-KCOM and Nova (the latter has my deposit) and am very likely to get one from PCOM shortly. I also interviewed at an allopathic program here in NY (though, I have no gauge of how that interview went given that they use MMIs and that was my first experience with it. I haven't heard back yet, but the interview was less than a week ago). I feel that I'm VERY likely to attend one of these four institutions (unless I get a substantial amount of scholarship money elsewhere).

I just received a call from Campbell late last week and they'd like me to come from an interview. Also, have interviews lined up at Touro-NV and Alabama COM.

My question is should I continue interviewing? I would go to any of these schools with a significant scholarship, but so far not one has mentioned offering me money. Without any scholarship money, I'd attend one of the first four schools. I've been trying to do some research and see what my odds of money are, but I don't know how to go about it other than to look at average grants. If there is no hope at money, I'd rather just skip the interviews.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Personally I wouldn't. PCOM and Nova acceptances are enough, also add the fact that you have a potential MD acceptance and I would call it a day. Even if you get waitlisted ore rejected from the MD school, PCOM and Nova are both fine institutions.

I would not attend any of these interviews, both to save money and since you already have offers from more established schools. And it's very unlikely you would receive any scholarship for med schools, especially with these new, private DO schools.

Agree with above. Never expect scholarships unless you are an extremely strong applicant and or a urm. Save yourself the money and cancel those interviews.

Campbell is interviewing people for their wait list and not informing them of the fact until they get there for an interview. I consider this to be totally unethical.

As on unethical as it sounds, I think that's the SOP of most schools. I've never heard anybody getting an ii that specifically said "come interview for a wait list spot"

Unless you have compelling reasons to be at a specific location, I wouldn't go on those other interviews. Congrats on the acceptances!

You can always just ask before you fly out to the interview. The admissions office has no reason to lie about it.

No they are not. They called me two weeks ago for an interview and specifically said it was for a spot on the waitlist. I declined my interview because of an acceptance at my top choice.

Campbell does give scholarships, for what it's worth.

I regretted not going to my Touro interview. Any time you have a legitimate reason to go to Vegas, you should take it.

ATSU-KCOM sent me an email before the II email describing their enrollment status...

Interesting, you learn something new everyday

Call it a day. The goal is to get accepted to a program you like at a reasonable cost at a place you'd be glad to go to. Sounds like you've accomplished that. Save your $$

Thanks all! I'll cancel Campbell and Alabama later today since those interviews are upcoming and it seems the likelihood of substantial amounts of money is pretty low. I'll hold on to Touro-NV for now (interview is in April so I have time to decide if I want to make a Vegas vacation out of it). I'll also keep crossing my fingers that one of my state schools interviews me (rejected from two out of four thus far) since the low tuition would be nice.

Congrats on your acceptances and good luck with your state schools! Let me have that Touro-NV interview though! haha
