I have not heard from either of these schools..I was just wondering if anybody got invited recently (within the last week or so). thanks

Hey Busdent, what's happening? I just had you in mind & wondering if you received any interviews yet??? It sounds like we're in the same boat. I'm still yet to receive some interviews. Keep me updated on your progress, & hit me up on IM or something. There's A LOT of important stuff I really need to talk to you about. I also hope you're doing well.

I feel your pain man. Just have faith.
 
ive heard nothing, either. and this has led me to devise a new theory on nyu's adm. process😛
i feel as if nyu interviews people who are either too good for nyu or little on the low side (not too good for nyu). people who are a 'perfect fit' get accepted without an interview. these 'perfect fit' people are ones who dont have VERY high stats (cant make it to schools like upenn etc). so, if they recieve an acceptance in december, theyll be highly inclined to accept😀

so i guess it is all across that nobody had received any invites recently. I remember reading Tufts sent out a few during the first-second week of october so I wonder if they'll be sending out invites in batches. Maybe they'll send out more at the end of this month...

And for NYU, I just don't know what to say because they have over 3500 applications..so I guess mine is somewhere in the back pile or something..

Just keeping my fingers crossed. btw, my app was mailed out at the end of aug and took the dat mid sept.

If you want to know if someone has gotten an interview from a school recently, just scroll down the list of posts and look for Tufts in the post titles. Seems like everyone who gets an interview starts their own thread about it. Don't worry. Your interviews will come. Good luck with those interviews. :luck:
 
maybe NYU is trying to change their reputation as a safety school? who knows....

tufts, on the other hand, send me a freaking interview!! 🙂 i love boston and have neard nothing bad about tufts other than it is a bit expensive. tufts....i want you, i need you :laugh:

I just got the interview from NYU this morning. The interview date is all booked between Nov.21st and Dec. 1st. So the lady suggested me to schedule it on 13th and i did

I was surprised there are so many ppl applying over there. Hope i could have my chance!!
Btw,i submitted my appl. in June and took DAT at the end of Aug.

I got an email notice from NYU of an interview invite this past Monday.

I have yet to hear from Tufts.

I am guessing that Tufts has delayed my application since ADA sent out my wrong set of test scores. Hence I'm still waiting waiting and waiting on Tufts to get back to me. 😕

Invite was by email. My app was complete after my DAT 8/30. My stats are in my signature (GPA 3.45, DAT 21/20/18). I just got the email and have not called them for a date yet...going to do that tomorrow. Good luck dude.

congrats buddy, I guess your app. complete date gives me a slight idea why I haven't heard anything from them. My app probably got completed at the end of september.

Now I am wondering do they send out rejections before Dec 1st or do they wait till after dec 1st?
 
I called a few days ago, and they told me that my application is complete. Right now, they're waiting for the adcoms to meet. COME ON!! I NEED AN INTERVIEW!!!! PLEEEEEAAASSSEEEE!!!!!! 😕 😕

I'm so happy. I was so anxious to hear from them. I hope I don't screw this interview 🙂

I scheduled my interview for Nov. 16th. I have a brother living in Long Island, so I'm going to stay over at his house and ask him to drive me to NYU. Sweet Deal 😀 😎

they called you to tell you this? that's odd. school's usually dont do that... unless u know someone there.

but in any case, good luck! its a good sign! 👍

^^ Nope, nothing so far from Tufts. There's even nothing posted next to Tufts in my AADSAS application status at my designated dental schools.

I'm still waiting waiting waiting. I'm checking my email like crazy these days for any interview invites.

I'm also checking my mailbox with excitement every postal workday when I come home hoping to hear at least something from the remaining dental schools on my list (which includes Tufts).
 
so i still haven't heard anything from tufts or nyu. is anybody else in the same boat?

i just interviewed at nyu sometime this week and the director admission stated that they have over 4000 applicants. obviously not everyone who deserves to be interviewed is going to be interviewed.
 
for those who haven't heard and think they should have, do you think you may receive an acceptance without an interview (from nyu)?

uhmm interesting question....if you have 23+ and 3.4+ ....I think you can expect to hear great news from them. Just my 2 cents
 
I got an interview invite from NYUCD three weeks ago. However, I'm turning that one down, as it's too far from home, tuition is expensive and cost of living in NYC is damn expensive.

As for Tufts, damn, I'm still waiting on them. No updates next to Tufts in the AADSAS application either! Ugh! Never heard from them after I have sent them the $60 payment. The guy at the Tufts dental school admissions office said that they interview on a rolling basis. Guess it depends on when your application was fully processed by the school.
 
i just received an interview less than an hour ago from NYU. it looks like they're booked until january 19.
 
i actually realized that i hadn't canceled my interview at NYU yet, but it's prolly gonna be last minute for most people to change, b/c i had pushed the interview from October to Dec 4 (i believe, i still have to check). I was gonna call today to withdraw, even though i haven't heard good news from any schools yet. PM me or i can just post what time i'll be able to call.
 
I just called and canceled my interview on December 4th, so that day is open for anyone wanting to schedule an earlier interview
