Any research or medical positions - Austin

I was wondering if there are any research or medical position in Austin, TX available? Trying to gain some experience in the medical field and having a hard time looking for any open position. I'm really looking for a position that will kinda give me some training.

If you're OK with (probably) unpaid research positions, you can pick a bunch of profs at UT and email them asking if they have any open positions in their labs. Of course, that would probably only work if you're a UT student.

I got a summer of research out of that--but it wasn't medically related, and I emailed ~20 profs.

If you're OK working full time, there are some orderly-level positions at the Seton hospitals you could get. I don't know about the St. David's hospitals. Both systems also have volunteer programs.
