optometrists looking for work in either private practice or retail corps in the NorthEast for a 8 hour work day are finding resistance by bossess who do not want to pay top dollar or even market rate. Why are private employers or big corporate chain employers not willingly to pay the big bucks for new grads or experienced seasoned ODs out there? I am experiencing this recently here in the NorthEast- espe. NY NJ. Is it because of the economy or what?
Some of these bigwigs -owners are nickel and diming good OD's. May I ask anyone WHY?

Thanks.

An abundance of urban ODs willing to work for something less than "big bucks"?
