Hey guys,

I just wanted to ask everybody's opinions on the classes that I have taken and I am taking next year.
I have taken so far:

Bio 101 and 102 (basically retook AP bio I took in High school)
General Chemistry 1 and 2
Org. Chem. 1 and 2
Chem 321 (quantitative analysis)
Bio 301,302, and 303 (genetics, cell molec., and evolution & ecology)

I am taking (my 1st semester junior year):
Microbiology
Physiology
Physics 201
Biochemistry

Do all of these classes look good?
Also, I want to take histology 2nd semester but there is a web course offered that is super easy compared to the real class. I'm guessing that the admissions at dental schools probably know the online classes are easier. Would taking the online class hurt my chance of getting in?

Thanks a lot and good luck guys!

Online courses might look easier to adcom, but it won't make much of a difference if it's only one or two courses. Alternatively, an online class may be difficult because of the lack of a lecture.

I think your junior year schedule looks very strong.

Looks like you've already completed most of pre-reqs for dental schools with the exception of physics. Some schools require biochem and/or anatomy+physiology so you are well on your way in completing those additional requirements also. I'm not familiar with the semester system, or how the science classes are like at your school (lab/no lab, difficulty, etc.) but seems like you have a tough but manageable semester ahead of you.
Imo, taking full course load of upper-div sci classes and doing doing well in them is great, because.. solid sci background will help you prepare and do well on the science sections of the DAT and.. it shows the adcoms that you will be able to handle the dental school curriculum.

I would also suggest classes like intro to psychology as it is a requirement for certain schools (e.g. UCLA). Looking back, I wish I took advantage of art, and jewelry making classes that my school offered since those are good classes to practice your manual dexterity on a small scale.

I would take the actual histology class if I were you, but you may want other peoples' opinions on that matter.

Your schedule will be tough. I recommend that for your junior year (assuming you are applying to D-School that year) you take classes you know you can get A's in. If you can get A's in all these classes it will look terrific for dental school.
