Program-Specific Info / Q's Any thoughts on Clarkson University MOT program?

Hi everyone! I recently just got accepted into Clarkson University's occupational therapy program but I am a little hesitant to put my deposit down because I have seen a lot of horrible reviews and people saying to completely avoid the school.

Does anyone have insight on this or currently go there to be able to share their experience?

Not my forum, but I'm pretty much in the same predicament as you but for PT. Ive been trying to figure out the same thing about Clarkson's PT program as I was recently accepted as well. I keep hearing you pretty much teach yourself, but no current/former students have responded to any of my questions about their programs 🙁

Last year I got accepted, but I requested them to extend the deposit deadline, to see if I got into other schools.

hello folks, I have interview from Clarkson for MOT program. Does anyone help me how long is the interview process? what are the general question they might ask. it will help me to prepare for interview. By the way, the interview is next week and this is my first interview.

I got accepted on Clarkson for MOT program and my interview was laid-back. I got offer letter on same day of my interview. I am thinking to accept the offer. I am from CA and I do not know the Potsdam, NY area very well. Any body live close by or know about apartment costs and housing costs? Does anyone know when will class start 2021?

Hi! I also got accepted to Clarkson and put down my deposit. I'm 90% sure that I'm going there, but I would like to speak to alumni and a current student in the program to just make sure. I'm from the Adirondacks, a couple of hours east of Potsdam, so I have a good idea of what the town environment would be like. I'm expecting a lot of people who like to spend time outdoors (hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing, etc.)

As for housing, I took a quick look on apartments.com and it looked pretty typical ($500-$800). On-campus housing was close to $5,000 per semester so I would definitely be living off-campus. Online it says that the semester starts in late August.

Thank for the info. I accepted the offer and i put down my deposit. Housing is cheaper compare to California. I pay 1650$ monthly 🙁

Hi, was there anything specific that drew you to the program for you to make such a huge transition (CALI to NY)?

I didn’t get accepted at any California college 😞and my family also live in east coast (new Jeresy), I completed my bachelor from new Jeresy too so I am familiar with weather. I work as a OTA, so I am desperate to pursue my career in MOT. I have work with very OTR who has poor work ethics 😞

Thank you for answering! I'm torn as well if I should accept the offer there aren't many reviews and I currently only know one person that is in the program. She had good things to say but I'm still eh.
