I might be there next Thursday also. Not too sure yet. I'm a little skeptical about the pbl approach but I guess I'll just have to see for myself.

I'm a little confused on the format of the interview and maybe someone can shed some light. I just received my interview/learning session interview. On the itenerary it states that from 9-12pm there are optional interviews that we should schedule ahead of time! I've never heard of an optional interview - weird! And if the interviews are optional then when do we get evaluated. Were all of the interview formats like this? If anybody could shed some light on this I would be very greatful.

when i interviewed at USC, the second day was only an opportunity to observe a PBL session, it was not mandatory for the interviewing students.
The PBL sessions that week were canceled for some reason, so I did not go and observe.
Also, the individual interview with a faculty was only mandatory for second-time applicant to USC.
Firt time applicant can also request an individual interview with a faculty, but the dates were not available for about a month later, which i thought would totally delay my application, so I opted not to do it. And the administrators also did not recommend it for first time applicants for whatever reason.
anyhow, good luck on your interview.
