Hi all,
I'm a pre-med student who is looking at summer research opportunities. There may be a research position open for me at a lab in USUHS. However, this was through a networking connection and not official program. I don't hear too many college undergrads doing research here so I decided to post in this forum to get some feed back. The lab is doing basic science research. I also am not interested in pursuing military medicine or anything related to the military at all. I am really just looking for a good research experience.
To any current or graduated USUHS medical students: If you did some lab research at USUHS how was your experience and how was the research environment? (ie, friendly mentors and post-docs, ect.) Obviously this varies from lab to lab, but I wanted to get a feel of the atmosphere here.
