Hi

I am wondering if there are any Vietnamese out there, besides myself 🙂 . It will be nice if there are so we can get to know each other, otherwise I will be greeeaaaatly outnumbered by everyone else here ....just kidding. I live in Toronto, Canada.

Thanks for the website. How could I have missed a thread like that? Well, I guess I didn't know that "VNese" stood for "Vietnamese" and so I didn't bother to check it out 😀 . Guess, I'm not good at reading abbreviations, after all. It's good to know that I'm not the only Vietnamese international dentist here 😀 . How is your TOEFL preparation going so far? Have you taken it yet? What about your part I preparation?

as you can see by one reply from Univ of Maryland. They are many students from VN... Maryland works with Operation Smile and has students going to VietNam nearly every year. I have gone with them 4 times and have attended some of their parties.

In Delaware we have set up an exchange program and 2 dentists from Viet Nam spend a month with us... at our hospital.. and visiting Maryland.

good luck at dental school... there are always plenty of people to talk to, to mentor.

Wow, that sounds interesting. I never knew that such programs exist. I'm sure they're great programs. Well, I learn new things everyday. 🙂
Thanks for wishing us luck at dental school. Yep, "luck" is what we desperately need to get into a dental school besides the obvious hard work and determination. 😀
