Any Vietnamese out there??

[cheer_up]

Hi

I am wondering if there are any Vietnamese out there, besides myself 🙂 . It will be nice if there are so we can get to know each other, otherwise I will be greeeaaaatly outnumbered by everyone else here ....just kidding. I live in Toronto, Canada.

Sorry, you're the only one on here 🙂 🙂 🙂 It's ok. I will lend you my shoulder to lean on. 😀 😀 😀

I am Vietnamese. I am currently a 2nd year dental student at the University of Maryland. I am just here for school. 'Originally from the West coast.

So, you're from canada? That's cool!

Hey

Thanks a lot for your overwhelming kindness 😀 😀. Well, I kind of figured that out sometime ago already, but I thought I'd still give it shot and see what happens 😀 . I'm cool with that. No worries.

BTW, how did you do on Part I exam? Hope you did well

Hi river2005

Thanks for the website. How could I have missed a thread like that? Well, I guess I didn't know that "VNese" stood for "Vietnamese" and so I didn't bother to check it out 😀 . Guess, I'm not good at reading abbreviations, after all. It's good to know that I'm not the only Vietnamese international dentist here 😀 . Hey, Huyetkiem, I guess you're wrong about me being the "only" one here after all Hey river2005, I saw your username before, but didn't know you're Vietnamese 😀.

How is your TOEFL preparation going so far? Have you taken it yet? What about your part I preparation?

Hey Huyetkiem

What do you mean by "clear out my PM mailbox"? It's not full yet. Oh don't worry, I'm not the kind who forgets the old once meets the new. 😀

welcome to the message boards.
as you can see by one reply from Univ of Maryland. They are many students from VN... Maryland works with Operation Smile and has students going to VietNam nearly every year. I have gone with them 4 times and have attended some of their parties.

In Delaware we have set up an exchange program and 2 dentists from Viet Nam spend a month with us... at our hospital.. and visiting Maryland.

good luck at dental school... there are always plenty of people to talk to, to mentor.

Hi

Wow, that sounds interesting. I never knew that such programs exist. I'm sure they're great programs. Well, I learn new things everyday. 🙂
Thanks for wishing us luck at dental school. Yep, "luck" is what we desperately need to get into a dental school besides the obvious hard work and determination. 😀

many programs exist at different universities where students can go to international locations. Especially in setting up/teaching prevention
