Any word from Temple?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yikes, i am definitely declining my interview. I like to go running at night and i am guessing that this place wouldnt be a good place to do that (with me wanting to stay alive and me hating getting shot). Although i like cloudy. BUt i just found that out that they will be opening a new med building in 2009 = construction hassle 2007-2009. Not for me.

I hope they give mine to one of you guys!:luck:

Most likely, you wouldn't be running around the medical school (unless away from scary people coming to get you) at night anyways. You wouldn't live in North Philly, you would be COMPLETELY crazy to do so. Most people who go to Temple live about a 10-15 minute drive away or even up to 40-60 minutes away in the suburbs north or west of Philly. However, a decent number of people (particularly those without cars) also live in center city and take the subway or ride a bike to school everyday.

I know quite a few second years/first years at Temple med currently, so that's how I know.

You'd think with all my knowledge, they'd give me an interview invite.

Got an interview today from Temple!!!!!!!!!!!🙂

I was complete in the first week of Sept. and got an interview the week after MCAT results came out.

Perhaps I forgot to mention that I want to be able to roll out of bed and into class.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that hasn't heard a peep out of Temple. 😡

I almost forgot that I applied to Temple  Atleast I know that I can go to Temple for Podiatry school and make 136,000 dollars a year 😛

I just got an interview invite from them yesterday and I'm out of state. Does anyone who has been accepted know if they give out generous financial aid awards? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Couple things about Temple:
1. The neighborhood may not be that great but they're extremely close to center city Philadelphia which is really a great part of town (and safe to run). It's easy to get from other parts of Philly to Temple as well.
2. Temple was one of many schools that had a HUGE JUMP in applicants. I believe in late Sept they already had double the applicants they had late Sept 2005.
3. Maybe a little off topic but remember that Temple does give pref to Penn residents.
