Just wondering if anyone has heard when scores are coming back...I think last year it was May.

Anyone else wonder why it takes so long to grade a bubble test? Should make it computerized like the ABSITE.
Was told we got ours back.
What %tile do the scores correlate to?
CBY here. Long-time lurker.
Seems the curve was kinda rough, or maybe I just sucked. 😕
Scored an 18 (28th %tile). Seems compared to a chart from 2008 posted 'round here in the past, it would've been a 59th %tile. Did not study for this thing (busy intern year).
Mean for CBYs was 21, standard deviation of 5 I think.
Do fellowships look at the actual scaled score or the percentile?
Don't worry about the intern year score. You will have more time to read/focus on anesthesiology as a CA 1 and improve. Read baby Miller and do Hall Q's.
I get that.
My question was still not answered. In terms of scores, what's considered "good" and what do fellowships look for in general - the scaled score or the percentile?
Thanks.
Usually ask for both. There.
As for what is considered good to fellowship directors; I have no idea. I applied to CCM and only 2 of my 9 applications asked for ITE scores.
Thanks for answering my questions.
I guess the idea is to beat the mean at the very least. I'd not done anesthesia prior to the ITE (I'm the lucky one who does it at the end of intern year). So, I suppose it doesn't matter for now.
What percentile should I shoot for come CA-1 year?
I don't know but our program rewards residents who score >75% within their respective level.
Some of the knowledge comes from being in the OR but a lot comes from reading. If you don't read you will not do well.
My CBY1 year I read baby Miller and did Hall review Q's (I had passed the Step 3 by then) and scored 32 (99%) as a CA1 doing the same thing again 39 (97%) . Its mostly from reading and doing Qs with a little coming from OR experience. I'm not giving you my scores to boast, I'm just pointing out that the exam can be killed by reading and doing questions. If you want to get a "competitive" ITE score for fellowships start reading and doing Qs in January or so. Thats what I do. I do read something all year round but I really focus on the exam around January.
Got mine the other day too.
Just a question...
On the norm sheet, why is there a breakdown for PGY-0?
If anyone has the normogram, mind posting it?
CA_3
45 dont know the percentile yet
thanks the real deal is coming very soonGreat score.
