I would like to do a rotation in the NYC area-- I will be an MS-III next year and am considering applying for an FM rotation at St. Barnabas in the Bronx-- anybody have experience with this one?? Housing is provided, but I hear that it is "scary"

How about St. Vincents- Midtown?

On a side-note, anybody know of any good hospital based FM rotations that would accept a visiting MS-III student?

Thanks!
Zack

i went to fordham for undergrad.. about 3 blocks from st. barnabas.. definetely a shady area at night... but youll have a great experience clinically..theres a wide range of patient population..from traumas, GSW's, and drug overdoses to drunk college kids (my roommate was actually a patient there freshman year when she went a little crazy with the funnel)

the neighborhood is an interesting mix of locals, mafia, and college students...but, its suprisingly safe during the day...little italy is also across the street from st. barnabas, with great restaurants...

good luck!
