Not that I need any competition, but I thought these interview/on-site-essay tips would be helpful to other prospective UT students.

Tomorrow's the big day. I can finally apply to UT. It seems like I've been waiting forever.

I found out today that UT is going to waive my application fees! I just saved myself $125. Now I won't be so mad when I don't get in. 🙂

UT
Midwestern-Glendale
Nevada
University of Houston

I wouldn't be able to survive anywhere that's too cold or too humid (I'm looking forward to 118 degree summers in Phoenix)....or too boring like Amarillo, TX (Texas Tech) or Weatherford, OK (SWOSU). California's beautiful, but I'd rather visit often than live there. And I wouldn't touch Texas Southern with a 10-foot pole. 😉

Is UT hard to get into?

I don't know...nobody here is from UT. I only have last fall's stats (2002):

male/female: 31/103
only 2 people accepted from out-of-state
mean GPA: 3.4
app/enrollment: 3:1

I am an undergrad (4th) year at UT. I know a couple of folks.....one from UT and one from A&M who did not get into the pharm program last year.......and they had pretty decent stats/resumes. Granted......I wasn't present for their i'views.....but I do know they had decent grades and involvement in pre-pharm organizations and volunteer work. From what I understand.....it is pretty competitive as far as pharm. schools go.
