I applied to the main TUCOM, PCOM, and LECOM campus, but also the branch campus. For those of you have also done the same, do you think that the decision based on either main or branch will effect each other? or are they seperate identity?

Also, i applied to 7 schools, do you think that's enough?

Separate entity. Don't worry, I did the same. Except for the branch of PCOM because it looked as though they really favored those from the region they're in.

7 schools? What are your basic stats like? It is probably enough. 🙂

No way for us to tell... we do not know all the voodo that goes on behind the Adcom's desk. As for me, I thought I had applied to both TUCOM MI and NV, but somehow I only applied to TUCOM NV, got and interview, waitlisted, then found out my mistake. I quickly applied to TUCOM MI and was interviewed, shortly there after I was taken off of the waitlist at TUCOM NV and accepted. Don't know what I did... but it worked.

-Good Luck

It doesn't matter at TUCOM or LECOM, but I think PCOM only interviews students at one campus if you apply to both.

PCOM interview students at their respective location (GA-PCOM will interview students at the branch campus, PCOM will interview students at the main campus)

However, all applications are sent to PCOM, and the decision on whom to interview (for both PCOM and GA-PCOM) will be made at PCOM main office of admission - they will then send the files down to GA-PCOM for the interview

that's my understanding of things. could be wrong.

It seems to me that one could potentially be interviewed at both sites if they checked on AACOMAS to apply to both. If not, then why would we have to pay for 2 designations? Seems like that would be unethical for AACOMAS to charge for 2 schools knowing we could only be interviewed/accepted into one of those branch schools. 😕

you are correct at least for LECOM. I have read another post where this person got accepted to both the main and branch campuses.

I'm not sure how PCOM works......not sure if they have a main place that decides which school should interview which student. That sorta sucks that they never mentioned (or if i have missed it) on their website that they give preference to students in their general area. I think if you start doin that, they shouldn't advertise themselves as a private school anymore, because that just goes against what it means to be "private".

Touro and LECOM are definitely separate...not sure about the PCOM. The satellite of PCOM favors students of the region from what I read.

Don't think it counts, but I applied to both AZCOM and CCOM (not a branch/main relationship, just because of name? 😕 ) anyways, I also only applied to 7 DO schools, hope its enough...

At both LECOM and TUCOM, they are separate. I got invited to interview at both campuses and both satellites. I got waitlisted at Erie but quickly accepted in FLA. When I sent my deposit in at FLA, Erie told me that since I had accepted FLAs invite, I was no longer in consideration at Erie. That kind of pissed me off, since while I was more impressed with FLA, Erie is much closer. So, to make a long story short, they are separate but if you hold a seat at one school, you will no longer be in consideration for the other campus.

This is probably a dumb question, but what is/are "satellites"?

satellite = branch.
