med school?

I"m not sure what will be better:

drop physics with a W, (which will be my 2nd time dropping it, and take it next year or the following semester)

or stick it out, and possibly get a D or C?

sorry for such a dumb question, but I don't know where else to turn to?

I'm wondering the same thing is it better to drop a class twice. or drop it once and get a C in it the second time?

the bigger question is why are you not doing well in the class again? this is the question you should be asking yourself.

personally, i think it's better to drop it twice and get an A.

but there's no guarantees you'll get an A the third time.

i would stick it out and get a C... I highly doubt that you will get an A the third time you take it, especially since physics is one of those subjects that you either get it or you don't. It's not going to get any easier...

Yeah, I wouldn't drop it a second time.

I made a C in my Organic Chem 1 on the first test. Hated the teacher, dropped the class ( a W shows on my transcript), my advisor said this would be suicide for med school. Took O-chem 1 and 2 with a different teacher and made As and fell in love with O-chem. So I say drop it if you are sure you can do better next time.

Work hard with the teaching assistants to truly understand the subject, and get that A that you deserve this quarter. You still have the final exam.

would they cut someone like this some slack, for going through medical problems, or completely dismiss them as "lazy" or unmotivated, or whatever else?

If you really had medical problems, maybe. It's going to depend a lot on how you explain yourself.
