Last night I dreamed that I didn't get in anywhere so I scheduled a meeting with an adcom to review my application. They put my application on the desk, winked, and left the room. So I opened it. An LOR from one of my favorite professors was on the first page, full of spelling and grammatical errors, and he totally blasted me. Then the adcom came back, said he'd sent it out to an e-mail list of adcoms because he'd thought it was so funny, and that I would never be able to go to medical school now.

I have a different nightmare about admissions every few days.

So ready to matriculate, then the nightmares can be about forgetting to study for a pharm test or something.

Relax,

Wait, you got accepted and you are having nightmares? What? Relax

Next level gunning: implant the idea of rejection deep in future classmates' subconsciouses and watch as it destroys them in med school.

I'm sorry to say it, but this looks like a textbook case of gunception.

ha HA HAHAH HAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH  🤣😆

I remember those days....

Son, the real nightmare haven't even started yet. Having stuff to do is GOOD! Wait till you start the waiting game around september. That's when the real nightmares start 😢

You have a damn good point but personal statements are still the devil. More weight goes into that page than a lot of things

My nightmares are related to the MCAT, since that has taken over my life! xD
Also, when my PS is pieced together, eventually, that will be bad too.

Freud wrote that dreams, even bad ones, involve wish-fulfillment at some levels. I know Freud said some whacked-out things that have been disproven, but he also had a lot of good insights that have gone untested and forgotten.

OP, what do you think of this interpretation of your dream: Part of you secretly does not want to go to medical. Part of you dreads the long hours and lack of free time and would rather do something else. Part of you feels like you're being pushed into this path. Part of you would love it if something totally-out-of-your-control eliminated your chances of getting in…. that way you would be completely and totally free to do something easier that you really enjoy without any of the guilt or second-thoughts that might come if you just chose to not go to med school.
