I haven't heard back from 20 or so programs. I was wondering if anyone else is having the same experience. More importantly what does this mean?!?!😱

Are programs really still deliberating about invites this late in the year? 😕

You mean programs that have sent interview offers to some but you haven't gotten a rejection? There were at least 20 programs last year who never sent rejections. My guess is the great majority of the interview offers that go out this late are just to fill cancellations.

There are (as I count) 34 out of the 76 programs I applied to on eras that haven't officially rejected me yet or accepted me for an interview. Of those, all but just a couple have sent out invitations to other candidates leaving just a few that haven't contacted applicants yet one way or another (UC Irvine, Drexel, and Allegheny). I'm assuming that without being officially rejected, there is still a chance for an interview if there is a cancellation or something but realistically I think no news is essentially the same as a rejection at this point.
