Anyone else take the Neuro NBME?

My second year class just got our results back from the NBME shelf exam. Our class average was the 91st national percentile!😱

The rumor around here has been that our neuro class is way overtaught sometimes at the expense of other subjects more heavily tested by the step exam. My stack of neuro notes is taller than my anatomy notes!

wow.. we had 3.5 weeks for neuro and i was at a horrible site (2 neuro pts on the service, no neuro residents, medicine resident and neuro attending) so i didnt feel like i leanred much. neuro was my lowest shelf so far with a 79

I think he/she is talking about the pre-clinical shelf.

oh. hahah. you are right. we dont take any preclinical shelfs so i hear shelf and immediately think 3rd yr.
