Anyone ever tried finding some roommates on here?

Just curious if anyone has tried finding roommates using the forums. I'll be moving several hundred miles away if I get into vet school, and that makes it pretty difficult to find housing.

I'll be going to either Mississippi or UGA, so if anyone wants a roommate I'd be interested. Pets must be allowed, as I won't be leaving my two rats at home!

depending on which school i go to, i may be looking for roomies too later! im not gonna lie tho...i realllly dont prefer female roomies. had enough through college and omgg they were crazy lol but we'll see! from doing the meyer briggs personality test in the other forum it is nice to know that most vet students are similar

I met one of my current roommates on SDN.. so it's not that weird. Just make sure that you talk with them enough to get an idea if you'll be compatible as roommates. Also, check if the school you end up attending has a housing list. I know that Tufts has a student responsible for creating and maintaining a list of available housing in the area that is usually up and running around May or June. Good luck!

Two of my classmates who are on SDN are roommates. I am pretty sure they met on SDN.

I met my roommates on the Facebook site for our class. It's worked out really well, especially since I didn't meet either of them until I actually moved in. I think it's pretty much the norm now for schools to set up something on Facebook so everyone can "meet" before classes, and even if they don't, there's nothing stopping the students from making a group.

I guess I am an ESFJ 🙂 It seems common for ppl to look for roommates on class facebook pages though! Not to worry!

HAHAH yea i heard that on tv or something so i looked it up online and it did say she was a vet tech-wouldnt necessarily assume that means pre-vet but anyway i was still shocked about that. i would not let her come near my cat to draw blood. sry if anyone takes offense...
