Yea, the organic tapes are really good. I bought the whole series a few yrs ago. They break stuff down pretty nice. If you're luckey enuff though..you can catch the series on PBSONE. "The Standard Deviant's School" show. You can tape them then.

OR

go to www.standarddeviants.com and order whatever tapes you may need. I'm not sure.. www.amazon.com may have them too...you can check..but yea, I highly recommend them for ppl who get bored with proffs easily. I loved it when I took orgo 1...I'd just come home..pop in the tape..watch it...do a few probs...like 10 minutes worth a day.....and id be ahead of the class.

hope that helps..

Wish I had known about those when I took organic II. They seem kind of kiddy in their presentation, but it's more entertaining than listening to an ochem lecture.

hey one more question
did the tapes help in orgo II or do they just give a basic foundation for ochem

thanks

Wow I thought I was the only one who watched that show!! My friends make fun of me for it, but the material they present is a lot more interesting than a lecture, as someone mentioned before. The chem episodes give a great overview of the basics of the subject, which IMHO is the most important part of chem to learn since the subject builds itself so much on the basics of atomic structure, bonding, etc. If you want a good overview of the basics, I'd DEFINITELY recommend them!

Those tapes are awesome. Dont know about the o chem... but i have the bio and A&P movies and they were surprisingly enjoyable. On PBS they show different subjects each day..... Like Foreign Lang Fridays or something.

Education movies...... for tha love..... we are such nerds, but whatever.

I recorded all the physics lectures last year when I was studying for the MCAT. I was glad I'd been channel surfing just as the show was on.

I used them during pre calc, now I will use them for ochem and physics. Before you buy them check with the public library. Thats were I'm getting them from.
