I know this topic belongs to 'Lounge', sorry.

My friends and I are planning to go clubbing next monday (20th). However, I just found out that May 20th is Canadian national holiday.

Does anyone know if clubs, restaurants, etc will be open on the 20th?

Thanks.

Sorry, but I think that everything is closed on Monday. I live in Canada, and well I don't have to go to work on the 20th, and the mall is closed :( so I think that everything has to be closed! Maybe a club or something is open, but I don't see that being likely!

Take care! and Montreal is always a great clubbing city!

Actually, my friend found out that the mall would be open on the 20th. But, I am not interested in shopping so... :)

oh that's interesting Legend, I really don't know then, best bet would be to call where you're headed to and find out! But I was thinking that a lot of times when there's like long weekend bashes @ clubs, they must be open....Sorry I'm not much help :)

I live in Montreal...and while malls and some stores etc... will likely be closed, clubs will be open. There are a lot of big Victoria Wknd parties that happen. ALl you have to do is walk down St. Catherines (the main downtown street) and you WILL see flyers for all the big parties littered on the street and on teh windsheilds of parked cars. If you see ppl passing put flyers, just take one and you'll know the deal. Otherwise, there are some websites you can check out for info on the goings-on. Off the top of my head: web page web page , and web page . Finally, wrt restaurants, call ahead b/c some close on teh monday and some don't. The big happeneing ones, Buono Notte, Meditteraneo, Red Thai, Biddles....will likely be upon but call ahead to be sure.
All in all, Mtl is a great city and public holiday or not, you WILL find stuff to do. If all restaurants are closed, just go to Chinatown where places will be open untill atleast 2AM.
Whew, PM if you want to anything specific.
HAVE FUN!!!

Gotta check out 737, on top of the Royal Bank Tower. Went there a lot when I was in Montreal... in fact that was the only club we kept going back to

I have already been to Montreal like three times, but since I was with my parents, I didn't get a chance to check out clubs on St. Catherine St.

However, I still think Vancouver is the best !!!
