Hi all,

Has anyone ever asked for a re-score that actually saw their score change (at all) ?

Just wondering.... I didn't do as well I hoped, but I was discussing this with some other students and the topic came up.

thanks

I think something dramatic would have to have happened to warrant rescoring. It's unlikely that your score will be changed at all. And on the off chance that it is changed, it likely won't be by much (or necessarily in the direction you want).

This topic comes up a lot when people fail, but unfortunately I have literally never heard of anyone's score getting changed. I think it's best to save your money.

I think the rescoring made sense back when the exam was paper-based (i.e. Scantron), and perhaps some people had score changes due to mis-reads by the document scanners misinterpreting erasures and other things. I definitely saw this on our medical school exams that were paper-based.

But, I highly doubt with the computerized system that anything would change. How would they be able to prove that you clicked on one answer and not the other? The only evidence are your answer choices and those aren't going to change. Same thing for electronic voting without a paper trail, a recount will always give you the same result with an electronic system.
