hey guys,

i dont know may be its just me. but iam getting too excited. i just reviewed my personal statement. made sure all the schools recieved my LORs and Transcripts (and yeah most of them did😀 ). The applications are opening sep-5 and i want mine to be the first. i know there's no competition or anything so special to apply on first day. but its like a dream. i have been waiting from last a year and half to enter podiatry. And now finally the time is here when iam gonna put my first step in this field by applying to pod schools. i hope god fullfills my wish. I wish best of luck to other fellow bros and sis who are applying for 2007.

just one question, those schools who didnt recieve my LORs till now, do they wait till they recieve my LOR to contact me or they do contact me for interview.

Once they receive your app they will contact you. They do not wait for a complete file which is nice b/c some udergrads can be slow in the transcripts. They will even except you w/o a completed file. What happens is they go through and check the validity of the files later in the year. If you lied you lose your spot and they will probably inform the rest of the schools so you get black-listed.

The ony bad thing about being the first to apply is that you are the first to interview. This means if your file is good you are one of the first to be accepted. Then you could be the frist in your class to submit your deposit. The bad part is then you have to wait a really long time to actually start school. Other than that, applying early rocks!!

iam applying to all schools except Temple. But my choice is AZPOD or CCPM. Temple is too complcated for me. they need like five (if u dont have a pre-med comitte letter) LORs, thats like too hard for me to get! i wish u best of luck. may god bless u.

just a question to seniors? so when it says application starts Sep-5, does it mean Sep-5 12:00am or they can start anytime during day.

i applied 6/8 schools (not ohio or florida). whoot whoot! g'luck ya'll!

Actually, TUSPM requires 3 LOR (if you utilize your school's premed committee letter) or 4 LOR. I am not sure where you get 5 LOR for TUSPM.

TUSPM LOR requirement:

1. ONE LOR from your school's premed committee
OR
TWO LOR from two science professors in your school (only if your school
has no premed committee)

2. TWO LOR from two health care professionals (one of which must be a DPM)
