Yes I'll be in England for the World Cup (June 9 - July 9). You are going to Europe during the perfect time. Entire countries will come to a standstill when their teams are playing. No one will go to work on those days (well at least that's how it is in England).

Try and be in Germany for some of it. Basically its the world's biggest party. Take Carnival, Marti Gras, St. Patty's day, the Super Bowl, and the Olympics, times that by a 100 and then you'll get a World Cup atmosphere.
You're going to love it, I can gaurantee you that much.

Myself and three of my friends have tickets to the US vs. Czech Republic world cup game on June 12th in Gelsenkirchen, Ger! I'm soooo pumped I can't wait!! 👍

I'm going to be in Europe from June 1 - June 23: London, England; Amsterdam, Holland; Gelsenkirchen, Germany (for the game); Copenhagen, Denmark; and finally Genova, Italy (my relatives live there) in that order.

I was in Holland during Euro 2000 and that was pretty nuts. I'm expecting more of the same this time around but even crazier!

While there, take a day or two (either before WC or on a day when you aren't enamored with the matches slated) and head over to Cardiff, Caerphilly, Swansea, etc. in South Wales. Well worth the visit...I'll be there end of May.

im living in cologne germany right now working and living with an oral surgeon. yes the world cup will be great. if i were you i would go to all eastern countries such as poland, czech, slovenia, croatia, etc. these countries are alot cheaper with nicer people and no tourists. germany is great though. tschuss

I wanted to go earlier to catch some of the group games but I don't get out of school until June 19 (quarter system sucks).

Oh well I'll make the most of it.

snowboard in July? sounds good

London- Amsterdam- Germany (for the final world cup game!- even if I don't have tickets it will be a complete party)- Geneva- Rome- Paris- back to london- and possibly- if time permits- running with the bulls in Spain!

wow, glad to know there are so many dental/soccer hooligans on here. Unfortunately cost will be too much to actually go to europe, so i'm hoping to just be in a neighboring country and hang out.

big silvo, in bocca al lupo con italia. its gonna be a good tournament for them. finally they can score in big competitions....i'm a big fiorentina fan, so having Toni in there is gonna be great....good luck

Yeah, in really good snow years (like the one we are having now), I remember quite a few resorts staying open until the Fourth of July. Squaw Valley and Kirkwood come to mind. Another reason why I love California! 😀

Wow. You guys are lucky, I used to live in Germany when I was younger and have not been able to visit since. I AM SOOOOO STOCKED FOR THE WORLD CUP!!! I think this years World Cup will be one of the best, and I can't wait to see how Germany does.. Anyways..I wish I was in your guys boat for the summer, but unfortunately I'm retaking my Dat's, reapplying, and getting in!..ok shooting for 24's on my DAT so then I can watch the "end" of the World Cup in peace.. anyways..who ever is going to Europe around the Summer I wish you all an exciting trip....
