Know the basics...
sin = o/a ect...

sin x + cos x = 1

anyone know any other identities like the sinx + cosx I should know?
radian stuff?

I always skipped this stuff in both HS and college calc... i opted to get those probs wrong... dont know why. On practice DAT exams i just guess and move on... finally realized I should learn it.

those triangles on the pi circle are so intimidating.

Anyone have experience with this? Any "must knows?"

its (sin x)^2 + (cos x)^2 = 1 !!!! watch out.... i do this all the time, lil mistakes always drops my grades lol
from that formula u can get the others

its wouldnt hurt knowing the sin, cos, tan of 30, 60 and 45

i think that should be enough

what about htat thing like

sin x = cos 90-x
something like that
saw it on a prac test

how does that makes sense if you get a negative #?

are there only two triangles in the pi circle to know? the 45 45 90 and 30 60 90

:laugh: You sound like my long lost twin. For some reason, the trig stuff just never sunk in my head. In hs, I was just barely hanging on until we started talking about radians and all that mumbo jumbo. Sometimes I understand it sometimes I don't and usually just give up on those. I'm so scared because I've come across so many posts about people encountering a whole bunch of trig. I want to know the same thing...how deep does the trig get? Are there any questions about the trig function graphs? The graphing is what kills me everytime:scared:
