We had two phones go off. Pissed me off so much that someone could be that inconsiderate. And it isn't that hard to remember to TURN THE DAMN PHONE OFF. They should have been kicked out personally.

the girl who sat next to me had her fcuking alarm go off...the alarm was in her fcuking bag so she didn't bother to turn it off. that mutherfcuker must have beeped for at least 2 minutes before one of the proctors came and gave her a look

the proctor's cell phone @ st. johns rang twice. once during PS and once during BS.
what a cock sucker

you should def report it to aamc if the proctors phone went off. thats plain f'ed up. at embassy suites where i took it , i scoped the place out on thursday, amazing, mad comfortable, my own table, my own soft cushioned chair - only problem was that during the entire verbal- writing - bio sections there was major drilling going on abouve the room where we took it. they were working on the theater for the hotel so there was continuous drilling and wood scraping noises, it was ok after a while you get used to noises like that.

that's really messed up. it was weird with us, everyone was at the test site at 7.30am, we weren't allowed into our room unitl 8.30, and then once everyone except two people were in the room, they informed us that we all had to change rooms. that really ticked me off... and of course we didn't start till about 9.45am! WTF. seriously... can't the people count the numbers of chairs before? come on.

ok 10 mins into my PS while im panicking this gay dude got intoa fight with the proctor who wouldnt let him bc it was already like 9:10 he decided if he couldnt get in he'd make a stink bah to him for making me watch him wide eyed and confused for all of 10 mins leaving me to end up with the last 2 blocks void of answers by times up ..the proctor snatched my paper and i count even bubble C so i got really upset but after Vr i felt good so im ok..as long as i got a 9 in PS im fine imo.
and proctors who talk should have the vocal cords torn from their throat...because depite the fact they think i cant hear them..i can!
what the hell are the ppl underlining through Vr? is there gold in dem' passages? they like dig and gauge at the paper till it counds like they are eating the damn sheets!

There was somebody at my test center who was coughing pretty loudly at the beginning of the bio section. Not your typical clear your throat coughing but bronchitis, hoarsy, mucus-filled coughing. It was pretty distracting... not appreciated.

There wasn't a cell phone going off but someones watch beeped and we had a few pen clickers that were quickly silenced.

say whatever, but atleast we got to take our exams this week. I hear in Florida cause of the storm, they post poned it til next week, so we will be getting our scores later as result too. Oh and yes, a cell phone, timer, and Nazi proctors did bother me, i think we all should get an extra 2 points for each section, anyone second that?

absolutely!..... ah heck, lets make it three point per section...

seriously, i took the MCAT more than once. It can be nervewracking to wait for the scores to get back. Now you can concentrate your energies on getting your applications in order. I wish you all good luck. Try not to worry about the test, I am sure that you all did quite well.

Nah, but my cell phone vibrated on me during one of the practice exams. Threw off my concentration for the rest of the section!

I heard a tiny beeping two or three times, but overall it was dead silent.

I had the same problem with the girl right next to me and it was during verbal so the girl decided to ignore it until the proctor came. I mean how rude is that to just ignore it so that you can finish the section.

They should make the proctors say, "If you have a cell phone, TURN IT OFF NOW. If you already turned it off, CHECK IT AGAIN ANYWAY AND TURN IT OFF! If your cell phone rings you'll be thrown out immediately!"

And they should actually throw people out for that.

Well, how about this,

If you own a cell phone, leave it at home (or in your car, or with a friend, whatever).

I fail to see how someone cannot go 10 hours without a cell phone. Man, what would these people have done before the things were invented??? +pity+
