So I was planning on applying to about eight schools this year. However, my fiancé recently got a promotion and she is now the GM of a Marriot hotel in Boca Raton. I'm really proud of her, obviously we want to stay together. She was originally going to move with me where ever I got in, but now that she has this big time job it's clear it would be best to stay in South Florida. So, I'm looking advice from anyone who has experience applying to Florida schools with mediocre stats.
Applying to: both Nova programs (top choice), FIU, Miami, UCF
Major: UCF Pre-Clinical Health Sciences
CGPA: 3.28
PGPA: 3.5-3.6 (depending on the school)
GRE: 157v 159q 4w
Observation Hours: 50 outpatient, 150 pediatrics/aquatics, 50 inpatient

Apply to Nova, Im a PT1 here right now and I love it!

Nice! I'm actually heading down to Nova today for a campus visit and to meet with an admission counselor. What do you like most about the program? it is my top choice

I'm a PT student at Miami, but my gf is a med student at Nova so I commute. The reason I chose Miami is that your interview is weighted heavily, so if you kill your interview your stats don't matter as much, and they really want to get to know you as a person, your supplies are included in tuition and your tuition is locked in for all 3 years.

Florida PT schools are pretty tough to get into. Make sure you apply to the Florida campuses for University of St. Augustine too! They are opening a new campus in Miami soon and are a bit more friendly towards lower gpa's.

When you say supplies are included, does that mean books are included to?

Those stats are not mediocre man, don't put yourself down by saying so. If played right, you can have a shot at any Florida school. Apply to UF as well as the others.
