Anyone hear from Pitt yet?

I've gotten a confirmation email from the 8 other schools I applied to, just checking if I should be worried about anything I mailed to Pitt. Thanks.

I haven't received anything from Pitt either, no need to worry though. They're busy getting the first year students through their first summer. They will start reviewing applications in August and September.

My AADSAS was sent out 7/7.

Yeah, mine was mailed out 6/30. No need to worry then.

I got a pretty generic email from them July 15 just saying that they had downloaded my app and to send in the fee and photo if I hadn't already. I submitted May 16.

Nope, I didn't get anything. School added on July, 14 and mailed out July, 28.

I start at Pitt in about 4 weeks, so they aren't quite "getting us through our first summer" 😉 but I can definitely tell you that you won't hear anything from them for a few weeks. Rose likes to get the new class into the groove of things before working on the upcoming applications and such. I was in her office the other day and while I was there she got 3 phone calls about status updates.

If your app has been mailed to the school, and you sent your money and picture a while ago, then they have it. They probably won't deposit the money for quite a while though, so don't worry too much about that being a bad sign or anything.

Be a little patient, and you will start to hear things 🙂.

First of all congrats on getting accepted at Pitt, it's a wonderful dental school, and thanks for the feedback.

I was just saying that Pitt usually doesn't start reviewing applications until a little later because they're busy with the D1 students and the new class of 2012. That's just what Rose said when I toured.

By the way, one of my top choice schools is Pittsburgh, any tips for admission there? Thanks for your time.
