Rush has been silent. I haven't even heard talk about Rush on these boards. Anyone hear anything yet?

Yes- what is happening with Rush? My roommate from last year is attending there and really likes it. It is definately a top choice for me, seeing as it's a good school and only three L stops from my house. I have an acceptance from an out of state school (woohoo!!!) but I'd like to think I have a chance to stay in Chicago and go to a comparable school... They said they start reviewing in Sept and interviewing in Oct. I haven't heard about anyone interviewing...

I haven't heard from Rush yet, either, kids. They are one that I am really excited about. Here's to hoping.

On October 10th I received an email from Rush saying, "Once you complete the necessary paperwork, we will guarantee you an invitation for an on-campus interview!" Apparently I forgot to send a copy of my birth certificate to prove that I am a US citizen when I sent my secondary. I haven't heard back from them, even though I sent the necessary paperwork priority mail and they received it on 10/14. This is my first (sort of) interview invite, but I am starting to think that I have gotten my hopes up. Why would I hear from them when nobody else has? I am an average/below average applicant from California.

Hi All,
I applied to Rush also, was complete on 9/13, and haven't heard a thing! I guess we just have to be patient. I'm in the same boat with UIC (complete on 9/12) and Feinberg (complete on 8/18!).
Waiting on Feinberg is the one that is most painful 🙁

feinberg has started interviewing people...so has uic....as far as i know the people at rush are still on summer vacation. it was 10/19 last year when the first sdn'er got an interview from them...so maybe today is the day 🙂

Do they send out invites via e-mail? This process is getting to me. I interviewed at UIC yesterday and 1 out of my 3 interviews was pretty rough 🙁 I'm on hold at Loyola and Pritzker and haven't heard a peep from Feinberg, Rush or RFU...

I don't know about Northwestern...I haven't gotten an interview there, but you might be able to find out looking in the interview thread or PMing some people with interviews there.
I thought that my MCW interview was rough, and I get accepted, so keep your head up 🙂
I'm on hold at Pritzker too...and I interviewed at Loyola, they emailed and called me to invite me for the interview.
No one has heard a peep from Rush, it seems

uic is super expensive for you then? are you interviewing at any michigan schools?

No, my husband has a job offer in Chicago. We'll probably buy a place when we move from MI so I can establish resisdency in a year or two. If I don't get in this year

They send out invites by email, then you go to their status page and request the days available. I interviewed last year and was waitlisted there, so I feel like I have the routine down. I hope I get an interview this year too!

I'm OOS so I doubt I'll get an interview. They interviewed 95 OOS applicants last year! But, I'm hoping....

Umm....Rush?
Yeah, I had to ORDER my birth certificate from the county I was born in. That was fun. Haha. If I had known we'd be waiting this long I wouldn't have paid for RUSH delivery. (No pun intended).
Anyone else get an email like the above guy did "guaranteeing" an interview?

What is even stranger is that Rush doesn't have a phone number that you can call to talk to admissions. And if you send them an email, it takes 6 weeks to get a response. 😡

Yeah, you kinda wonder if their whole admissions office is being run by one person. And that person works part-time.

they ask for proof of citizenship on that page where you send back all sorts of stuff. i sent a copy of my passport.

Right, I initially overlooked it as well...They have it in a weird spot b/c on the form it says enclose $70 Check OR Fee Waiver and then right under fee waiver they ask for it...I was careless I guess and missed it...

hey-
i interviewed at uic on wed. too... i haven't heard anything from rush, loyola, or northwestern- all complete in early sept. i was a bit slow with the u of c secondary- so i bet that i'll be waiting for another month. just curious- which interview was bad at uic? i thought the entire day was a little bizarre! i know from inside sources that they have a real problem getting faculty to volunteer to interview.... did you notice?

Just because I don't have many posts, it doesn't mean I am lying!😡 I emailed them inquiring what exactly I needed to send them and they got back to me the very next day. I agree the email is a weird one, but it is the truth.
This should be good news for everyone, it means they are getting very close to sending out their first batch of invites.
