i don't think it really makes sense as one sentence. but the next sentence makes clear why the second part of this sentence is true:

"Rush Medical College will extend interview offers only as long as there are places available in our class."

so "don't worry about when you interview. we have rolling admissions, but we won't interview you if spots aren't still available."

one would hope they don't count the waitlist as containing "spots."
 
I was waitlisted last year, interviewed first week in Feb. They said in a letter this past August that they ended up taking no one off the waitlist. In fact, they were over enrolled.
 
i got the e-mail. I'm complete, but I did have to e-mail them as there was a problem with my letters of rec. Could just be those that e-mail got the letter b/c their e-mails were saved in a database or something??? *shrug*

i haven't contacted them at all.
 
I contacted them back at end of july/early august, so I mean....I've been complete (by their standards, since they suck at downloading lor's) since 8/17 and haven't heard a word


their office is by far the most screwed up in general
 
Rush scared the daylights out of me with that email! Holy cow! I'm glad they sent out something though, to let us know what is going on with them. Did yours have your name filled in? Mine says: "Dear {First Name}" like a mail merge didn't work or something.

Just invite me, Rush. I'll help with the mail merging.
 
Oh, and kids? The timestamp on my email says 4 am on 10/21.

I don't know why some would get the email and others wouldn't. I thought it was an invite. I was crapping my pants!! :laugh:

I got the apology email as well.

At least they're acknowledging that they don't have their stuff together this year. I have a feeling that invites will start going out in a week or two.

On my status page, there's an additional tab for interview dates. Anyone else have this?
 
i have the interview tab too.noticed it by accident. fellas that apology email is an interview invite. quick quick

YESSS!!! I just checked it too and scheduled my interview for 11/8. So excited this is my first interview!
 
i'm 11/8 too.... must be the first date available!

note that they say you might not get that date- i guess we'll have details in a confimation e-mail...

who knows? their system seems a bit screwy!
 
Everyone needs to check their status page--is this up for everyone?? I just checked and I am able to schedule an interview, but I got no email about it. And, I was only complete like 2 weeks ago...and I am out of state....SO confused.
 
Hey guys - sorry to be a downer, but I just submitted my application last night and my recommendations won't be there for another couple of days, and I have the interview tab as well. So I'm thinking it's a glitch? Hopefully, for your sakes, it's not 🙂 Good luck!
 
yea i got it too.. anyone NOT have it? i think this is a big time bug. wow rush is gonna crush some spirits.
 
Ok, so I'm probably going to end up feeling stupid for this, since there's NO WAY I have an interview (I have to keep reiterating that to myself, lest I end up getting excited despite my better judgement), but I clicked a date anyway... I figure on the insane offchance that it's not a glitch, I don't want to get stuck without a good date... lol
 
I have it too. I clicked on 11/8 just for the heck of it, and it did schedule an interview...

I'm thinking this is a HUGE bug in their online application system. They are going to have tons of people to deal with if this really is being sent out to EVERYONE. Yet again, they proove how disorganized they really are.
 
Damn. The way this was all working out, I was going to take a one-week trip back home. I was about the buy the flight before I refreshed this thread.

Now i don't know what to do. UGH.

I wouldn't bother buying the flight yet...

I have a feeling we'll be getting a mass apology email tomorrow afternoon explaining the situation.
 
If this is all some big glitch,which it appears to be, I am going to be beyond furious.
 
Rush's website is so messed up. Check the title bar of the webpage when you go to your interview scheduler (after you've selected a date). Mine says "Password Sent."
 
well it says you aren't scheduled until you get a confirmation email from the office, so we'll see what happens
 
Still, this is utterly ridiculous if it turns out to be a glitch (which, it seems, MUST be the case).
 
true, but lets keep our hopes up in thinking we will all have interviews 🙂
 
Anyone dare e-mail them? I entertained the idea but judging by there previous response times it almost seems pointless.

Good point. Rush does have to interview some people this cycle and with interviews starting the 8th some of those with the tab must be meant to have an invite. Everyone needs to just keep there fingers crossed that the interview tab was indeed meant for them.
 
It couldn't hurt to schedule an interview.
 
Where is this interview tab? I don't think I have it. I've been complete since 8/10/06.

This has to be the cruelest thing I have ever heard of.
 
Mine's gone too 🙁 I knew it was too good to be true (and impossible, considering my application isn't even complete) but I was really fighting hard to keep from being excited about Thanksgiving with my family in Chicago.
 
I'm glad I wasn't home for this horrible interview button!! I would be in tears about now. That is really hard, you guys. Do you think we'll get another email from them, or do you think they will just pretend like it didn't happen???
 
I think best case scenario is they were planning on sending out invited this week and were testing the interview system and made a mistake. Hopefully many of us will be receiving actual invites in the next few days. Either way this has been way too surreal
