Anyone heard from UCSF/SFSU?

Hey everyone! So had my interview this past weekend for SFSU/UCSF DPT program. I didn't get a call yet, so I am guessing that I am not in. 🙁
I heard they call people the very next day, and I know there are a handful of people that are already accepted for the early admission process. I will say that it was a great experience and all of the applicants were really great. I don't know how they are going to pick just 34 or so! So to everyone that was there, great job. All of the applicants were very smart and very diverse. Does anyone know if they send out a rejection email/letter? And how long it might take?
 
I haven't gotten a call back either 🙁 I am wondering the same thing, will they send us a rejection email? Do they still call if we are waitlisted?
 
I'm still waiting as well 🙁 I heard that people found out at all different times throughout the 2 weeks after the interviews last year though, so there is still hope! Also, it may take longer this year because they did the early decision interviews and are waiting to hear if those people except their offer...
 
Hey guys thanks for responding! Hopefully we hear pretty soon. I need microbiology for UCSF and it was full. So I am going to start crashing the class next week. I guess I should try and get into the class until I hear from them. Good luck to us all! Did the two of you apply to other schools? Also let me know if you hear anything and I will do the same. 🙂
 
still no call 🙁 I also applied to mount st marys, loma linda, chapman, nau, long beach, northridge. Ive been accepted to mount st marys and loma linda so far. What about you??

I hope so too!! I also applied to MGH, Boston U, Northern Arizona, U of Montana, U of Washington, Puget Sound, and Idaho State
 
Hey everyone. So I am checking this every night hoping that one of you will have some info for me! I also applied to NYU (interview Fri Jan 22) , Boston U and U of Pitt. Going to the interview for SFSU/UCSF made me like the school even more, and I am really hoping to go there!
 
I am checking this every night also! I know that they did not have "early" decision in the process last year, so maybe it is just taking longer to get back to us? Hopefully we will hear by the end of next week. They could be waiting to hear back from the 10-15 people that were accepted through the "early" decision? Good luck to us all!!! Keeping my fingers crossed!
 
Well still haven't heard anything. I wouldn't be so stressed about finding out if it wasn't for the classes I need for UCSF. School starts here next week and I will be crashing classes. I also will feel bad to take someone else's spot in microbio, if it turns out I don't need it..... Well perhaps not hearing anything is good news?! At least we haven't gotten a rejection email yet!
 
I haven't heard anything either, but I know a girl who said she was accepted a few days ago 🙁
 
Had my interview with NYU this past weekend. There were three other applicants there, that were also at the UCSF interview. They also haven't heard anything. I am thinking we will here something by this week.....
 
Just got an email that I am in the top 5 of their alternate list 😀
 
skibum2, are you from the Bay Area? just curious.
 
Nope, I'm actually from Wyoming/Idaho and go to school in Montana.
 
Oh ok! Sorry for the random question, I was just trying to see if I met you at the interviews. I'm in their top 5 alternate list as well. Let's hope that five people don't turn in deposits 😉

No worries about the random question 🙂 Wow, that is pretty funny! I loved the school as well. I wish they had told us the exact number that we were...I am just curious of our chances of actually getting in :xf:
 
I didn't get an email about being an alternate 🙁 Good job to all of you! I am sure at least 5 ppl won't accept!
 
DPT2013 thanks for your good wishes. I thought everyone at the interview seemed fantastic, all were obviously great candidates. What other schools did you apply to? 🙂
skibum and mshake, if you don't mind would you post if you get into the UCSF program? If I find out that one of you are in... well that means that I am one step closer to getting in too! If you would rather not, no problem! 🙂

Did one of you get accepted? Someone must have because I just got an email from jane saying that I'm now the first alternate.
 
Ahh congrats that's so exciting you are number 1!! I wasn't me that was accepted. I haven't heard anything since I sent an email accepting my place as an alternate...hopefully they got it!
 
Hey! So UCSF called me today and I am accepted! I am so excited! Hopefully we will all be going there!
 
Congrats!! Are you for sure going to UCSF or are you still deciding about NYU and BU?
 
Yes I am going to UCSF! I am so excited! I fell in love with that school at the interview....
 
Congrats!! I thought you must have because I got a call yesterday saying I am next!
 
How exciting! Hopefully you will get in soon, there is a deposit due on the 10th so maybe you'll know within the week!
 
Ya Lilly told me she is waiting to hear from someone by tomorrow, so I am keeping my fingers crossed! Did they by chance send you anything about cost of attendance in your acceptance? I know they gave us the first year at the interview, but they couldn't seem to answer what it would be for the years after that. Just curious cause I heard the second and third years were cheaper.

Congrats to all of you! Can I ask what all your stats were as far as GPA and whatnot? UCSF/SFSU is my number one choice and I'm applying this year, so any help would be greatly appreciated!
 
I am also applying this year and would appreciate some stat info as well.
