is anyone who frequents this forum enrolled in a dds/ mph dual degree program? im more than likely going to enter the program at columbia, and was wondering if this program can be accomplished within 4 years of dental school (even though columbia wants you to take one year off).

ive read the mph forum on here already, and its pretty useless to me. so, anyone who knows about the dual degree programs, let me know. thanks.

Unfortunatly they are in the proces of setting up an MPH program here at Penn so I cant really give you any insight. But we do hae a dual MBA/DMD program that is supposed to take 5 years, and I know a lot of people have done it in their 4 by starting their sophmore year instead of the reccomended junior year. Hopefully that will help some.

Several of my classmates are enrolled in the mph/dds dual degree program at columbia. It's do-able within the 4 year time frame, but the downside to it is that they would have to be night classes. 9-5 for dental and 5-8 for mph..........and I believe it's the 1 year route that they chose.

So is doing this DDS/MPH duel degree something that can be accomplished without it negatively affecting your dental school classes? In other words is it doable for someone who wants to do well in dental school classes.
