Isn't the whole point of doing a sub-I to do it at a place you would be interested in attending for residency... perhaps your school treats them differently?

Nah. Our school requires us to do a sub-i's in the 'core' fields.. IM, FM, Surg, Psych, Peds, or OB.

I'm not interested in any of them.

I don't know if critical care would count for IM but Mt. sinai has a cardiac CC elective that is supposed to be easy hours

Wish it could count but they are sticklers for this kind of thing.

Must be a non subspecialty field.
