Hi all

I am taking post bac courses ala carte at my state school and would like to take my Ochem all in one summer. Unfortunately the only school in my area that offers such a program is about $7000 for the 2 semester classes and this is just too much for me. I am mainly interested in private schools (since the class size is usually smaller) that are a little more affordable and it doesn't matter where it is located, I'm just looking for other options. Has anyone out there had luck with a summer ochem program?

Thanks!

Hey. Northeastern actually has a summer program where you can do full year classes in the sciences over the summer. They are three intense one-month programs. I know that you can do gen. bio, gen chem and gen physics along with A&P and a few others. I am not sure if you can do a full year of Orgo 1&2 during the summer, and for one, I wouldnt reccommend it, but its something to look into. If I were you, I would only do a semester's worth of orgo cause the material is very in depth and trying to do a full years worth would kill anyone. Just my $.02. Good luck

😀 🙂 San Francisco State University, Duquesne University (in Pittsburgh, PA), La Salle (in Philly) all offer organic chemisty. It really depends on where you would prefer to study. Hope this helps!

Harvard Summer School offers a full year Ochem course including lab for 4250. It is an eight week course. I have spoken to many people who have taken it here and they all have had good things to say about it.

In NYS there are quite a few. If you are really interested, try SUNY Stony Brook, Queens College (Public) or Hofstra, Adelphi, St. Johns (Private).
If you want any more info, feel free to PM me.
Good luck.
