So I was accepted into my second choice school and waitlisted at my top choice. I was already awarded my financial aid for this second choice school and now I have to apply for the loan. On the off chance I get accepted into my top choice school, what happens with the financial aid I was awarded for the other school?

Best to contact admissions/financial aid at your 2nd choice. If you're worried about blowback, just don't mention your name.
