anyone knows how many interviews does Loma Linda give out?

It seems Loma Linda has a pretty strict selection process before giving out any interview invite. I got invited for an interview, and it is my top choice it's closest to home. I am just wondering what is the chance of getting in. Thank you!

If you do a search, you'll find this question on previous posts. If your not seventh day adventist it is more difficult to get into LLU. LLU generally accepts about 3/4 of the class as SDA. If your not SDA then your chances of getting in there are similar to getting in to a state university school, that is not your state.

its not really about whether you're SDA or not. LLU is like other dental schools where they have certain feeder schools. Since LLU is affiliated with the SDA church, their feeder schools are SDA colleges & universities. I know a good bunch of non-SDAs who attended a SDA school just to get into LLU. So being SDA isn't really much of an advantage. However the non-SDAs that I know that got in were pretty religious people (4 were presbyterian & 2 were mormon). If you want to attend LLU make sure you enjoy or don't mind religion because you have to attend chapel and take religion classes all 4 yrs. LLU has a lot of SDAs because most of the students who attend SDA schools are SDA. For students attending these feeder schools, I know that LLU sends an interviewer to the campus and everyone who is a pre-dent/pre-med gets an interview even if some haven't even completed their 2ndary.

this is a list of the SDA schools, but the main feeders are Andrews, La Sierra, Pacific Union College, and Walla Walla.

If you aren't attending a feeder school, yeah it might be hard to get in, but if you have good stats and activities you should be fine.


p.s. LLU loves people who have done missionary/volunteer work especially ones where you travel out of country (for like 6mos - 1 yr). if you have done any of this, its a big +
