Anyone not getting mail because of Anthrax ?

I live in Washington DC and all of my mail comes through the Brentwood facility where the Anthrax was found and those poor postal workers died. As a result, I have not recieved any mail in 10 days and a huge portion of mail that goes through that facility is now in Ohio to be irradiated (?).
Anyone else in DC/NJ/NYC in this boat? What are you doing?

I got some mail from AMCAS with a white powdery substance. It turns out to be some of the crack they've been doing. This explains alot of what is going on this year.

In all seriousness though, it is sad that our daily lives have been changed so much by Sept. 11. But coming from a country that is filled with terrorism, I will say that the US will adjust and we will learn to live our lives in the face of terrorism. Not much has happened in Arizona but it does appear that this state was somewhat of a training ground for these terrorists. Just thought I would try to relate.

I'm in your boat. Am wondering if I should start calling schools sometime later this week. I'm sure if you explain the situation they'll be understanding - I think I might approach it from the angle of "could you make a note in my file that email is the best way to get in touch with me due to the very delayed nature of the post."

Yeah, I have been wondering about GWU and the mail situation. I interviewed Sept. 20 and still have not heard from them. Some folks from earlier interviews have already been notified.

Yeah, I interviewed there on 9/27 and haven't heard anything yet. Either a) we're in a "hold for further review pile" or b) there are letters with our names on them getting zapped with UV rays somewhere in the midwest right now.

Not sure which I prefer...

I don't know where GW's mail is routed through...I would think Brentwood since most DC mail goes through there....however, I don't know if it effected only incoming mail or both in and out. Who really knows at this point?
