There's just too much on the plate. Even though I have 7 weeks to study, I really don't wanna burn myself out with multiple NBME.

I do intend on doing one NBME. Other than that, I'll be using a bunch of Uworld and Kaplan questions.

Anyone else not using NBMEs?

Well, I won't say I'm NOT using NBMEs. But I haven't taken one yet. (Only took my school's one test.)

But at this point, I'm not even done with a 1st run-through of all the topics. So I fail to see the point in repeatedly examining myself.

Just my opinion, but I think that's pretty iffy. Surely it's worth your while to at least take one or two of them to see where you are a couple weeks out.

I'd personally take other things off my plate and make room for at least 1 assessment. Finding out what your weaknesses REALLY are is important and a few hours of your day can lead to more focused studying and elimination of other things on that plate.

yeah. nbme's are probably the most realistic indicators of the test in terms of difficulty and question variety. it would be a mistake to not take at least the
2-3 newer ones.
